What is a community solar project?
Community solar projects are large solar systems and can be located on buildings – like businesses, government buildings, schools or churches – or they can be free-standing solar arrays in an undeveloped area.
Who is eligible for the Oregon community solar program?
Establish your eligibility Oregon customers of Pacific Power, Portland General Electric and Idaho Power are eligible to participate in the Oregon Community Solar Program. You can participate if you are a resident (whether you own, rent or live in a single-family, multifamily or manufactured home) or a business (whether you own or rent your space).
What is the Oregon community solar program?
The Oregon Community Solar program gives you a new option to receive utility bill credits in exchange for buying or leasing part of a community solar project.
Can I subscribe to a community solar project?
If you’re a customer of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power or Idaho Power, you can subscribe to a community solar project and receive credits back on your utility bill.* Households meeting low-income guidelines receive subscription discounts and guaranteed savings.
Why is Pacific Power partnering with community organizations?
Funds from Blue Sky participants’ support has allowed Pacific Power to partner with community organizations to fund more than 130 local renewable projects over the years. These projects have helped community organizations save money on electricity costs and further invest in their missions.
Is PacifiCorp a green power program?
The NREL recently released its ranking of leading utility green power programs based on 2019 data. For the 18th consecutive year, PacifiCorp’s Blue Sky program – which includes Pacific Power and Rocky Mountain Power customers – is being recognized.
